In today’s rapidly transforming digital landscape, mastering the intersection of advanced technologies like generative AI and the stringent cybersecurity regulations imposed by the European Union is essential. This event is designed to deliver deep technical insights and practical knowledge to help you navigate these complexities effectively.
Cybersecurity is a core field in IT, underpinned by established frameworks that ensure the security of hardware and software systems. However, the advent of modern AI, especially generative AI, has introduced novel cybersecurity risks. These risks stem from the inherent robustness issues within AI algorithms, presenting an almost infinite array of potential threats.
A major challenge of modern AI algorithms, particularly large deep neural networks (DNNs), is robustness. The susceptibility of these models to adversarial attacks has been well-documented since the early successes of neural networks.
Our meetup will address these emerging threats from two pivotal perspectives. First, we will delve into AI algorithms, exploring methodologies to mitigate robustness issues and discussing the limitations of current robustness frameworks. Second, we will examine traditional cybersecurity frameworks, assessing how they address AI-induced threats and pinpointing their shortcomings in this new context.
Ultimately, our goal is to propose and discuss a paradigm shift—a new research and development agenda that synthesizes the strengths of both cybersecurity and AI.
Join us to take part in this essential discussion at the intersection of AI innovation and cybersecurity resilience.
