BarCamp Session – Your ideas, your own session in an unconference format. Take the chance to create it!

HOW?

This interactive concept could remind you of brainstorming or a fulfilling discussion. Everyone can join – independent of prior knowledge or profession. First, think about a topic of interest: what inspires you? What’s your passion?

Pitch your topic and don’t be afraid: You are the theme owner but don’t need to be an expert. You can’t do anything wrong; anything data-related is welcome!

WHY?

Step by Step

Pitch

  1. Bring your topic or even be super spontaneous – what do you want to discuss? Which topic buzzes around your head for a few days?
  2. Next to the stage, fill out a short pitch template with a title, topic description, or sketch. Be creative!
  3. Pitch your topic on stage within one minute; one inspiring question can be enough.
  4. All interested people in the audience vote by hand-rise and join your session once all pitches are done.

About the session

  • here will be 6-7 sessions in parallel for about 60 minutes
  • the developed groups go to the working space
  • during the working session, you can structure your ideas on a poster and discuss them
  • the facilitator moderates the session and supports his or her group in their discussions

After that, you can network: grab a coffee and a snack and visit the other teams for about 20 minutes to chat about the output.

“When you come, be prepared to share with barcampers. When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.”
